{success}
Today you hear from a young man born with passion like he was skin. This contributing author possesses a rhythm infectious and genuine just as much for you as it is for himself. He is conviction. In both the throws of his heart and what soaks in his soul down deep within. Unashamedly & completely biased I am towards this youth sized bundle of hope growing.
At almost 8 years old, he is the youngest contributor to k.Mac's 31 day celebration. Simply put, you'll find your very own heartbeat beating a bit bolder after time spent with this human. This young man has a tenacity unearthed. The kind you cannot instruct but only be inspired by. He is intuitive. A southpaw so in tune with the flow of feelings both his own and the ones around him.
I count it a huge honor to call him son. Born mine, he builds me better. He is my bundle of absolute energy and movement for best. Please welcome Casey Cobble to the blog.
My name is Casey Cobble. I will be 8 years old in January. My Mom asked if I would be on her blog this month. She wanted me to choose a word that's important to me and write about it. After thinking for a little bit, I decided on the word "success."
Success, to me, means giving all of your heart in whatever you do. I think there are 5 important keys to being successful.
I feel like if you have these 5 things, you will have success.
The most important key to success is faith. Faith is believing and trusting in God. When you trust and believe in Him, you become His kind of mighty. I chose to believe in God when I was 6 years old. Being His kind of mighty does not mean your life will be perfect, but it does mean no matter what you will never be alone. God is your always. His son, Jesus, is your savior and your strength.
The next key to success is persevere. To persevere means to work through & never give up. When I was 5 years old, I broke my collar bone. I persevered by staying calm, following the doctor's directions and giving my clavicle time to heal. I was mad & sad because I wanted to be out playing, but I had to let it strengthen.
I did not give up on the hope that God could heal my injury.
The 3rd key to success is focus. Focus means to concentrate and do the job right. It is easy to focus when you concentrate on what you are doing. I use great skill to focus when I play soccer.
I also show focus when I write and spend time learning.
I want to be a great football player. I would like to play quarterback, wide receiver or cornerback. I know that this will take me having great focus on learning the skills that are needed to play these positions. To love something, you have to put your heart into it. I have a heart for football. That should make focusing easy for me.
Another key to success is leadership. Leadership means to lift people up & be a good example. Leaders do not put people down. They are not bullies. You will find leaders helping, encouraging and being the first to do the right thing no matter who is watching. Following the lead of your coach is one way to be a good leader.
The final key to success is teamwork. Teamwork is cooperating with people to get the job done. You don't always have to like the person you are working with, but you do have to make the best happen with them and others. Being on a team gets more done than you would if you were alone. When you do get to use teamwork with people you like, it makes success so much more fun. I can never score all the goals in soccer. I love being with friends where every goal is our goal.
Success isn't always winning, but it is giving your all. Success is giving your heart, mind, body and soul.
I love popcorn and movies. My favorite foods are french fries, potato chips and my Mom-Mom's cube steak. I love to go out to restaurants especially to eat Mexican food. I love playing sports and video games. My family is the best and sleepovers with friends are so cool to get to do.
