{cuffs & scallops}
Anyone else's salivary glands evoked from the image above? Ahem. Sweet gravy train, it's a cuff. A crispy white one WITH a petite button. It possesses a flare. Did you hear me? I said a flare. It's quite possible we could end this post right here and call it one fine day. Nothing trips my trigger more than flare-ed-ness. I am but a succumbed mess when it comes to things at angles AND on my person. Frugal fashion jury, it is here where I would like to enter exhibits A, B & C to the court for flared evidence. Bailiff, do yo thang.
And don't you fret, people. Ohh, no. You needn't worry about ole Megs here. Because if flaring can't happen, then by all means scalloping can. What's that? Did you say "out of body"?That would be 100% correct. Because when the words "scallop" and "black patent leather" are joined, well, I'll leave it to my gurl, Fergie, here:
Tick-tick-tick-tick-BOOM! Cuffs, scallops & patent leather for the win. Just so we're clear for all the newbies, I live, teach, create and write all out of my home. Thus, my attire is anything Fergie-esque. It's more of a Richard Simmons-meets-Nike middle aged mom vibe.
Locals, who can raise their hand as first account witnesses to my circa 1980's navy blue Nike running shorts or the heather gray hoodie sweatshirt with the broken zipper I frequent around town? Hmmm. Who knows these guys? You know, the 2 pieces of clothing that makes Kenny utter things like "I will burn those if you wear them again" and "THAT might just disappear." He's a kind hearted man. Really, he is.
But if I were an outta-the-home professional I would completely RAWK this look for an entire day other than just wearing it to church for 2 hours on a Sunday. I mean who was the genius who pushed the envelope and just decided one day that, "Hey, I think I'll make the Oxford shirt oversized and extend it into a dress for a lady?" Because they deserve one fat ice cream cone WITH sprinkles.

And I am out, peeps. Last Cheap Thrills Thursday for me for a bit. Why, Meg?
Cheap Thrills Thursday is most favorite day here on the blog.
And in October, I'm gonna love it even more. I hope you will too.
Every Thursday next month I will be showcasing guest models on my front porch of frugal fashion. These ladies will feature a minimum of 3 items purchased from Goodwill to complete a fresh new look for Fall. I have so enjoyed the opportunity to laugh and shop with them. I've loved hearing how their personality flows into their style choices too. I hope you'll join me this October to meet these great gals and see that the look for less is available for all.
With these guest models, I am adding in guest authors as well for a complete 31 days series of wardrobe & words. Go here to catch up on all the details and excitement that awaits you next month in this space. Tomorrow you will meet my guest authors.
And lastly, my Volunteer state battles the University of Georgia this Saturday. I have a great frugal fashion segment on the Knoxville Moms Blog that just so happens to feature that sweet $.25 scalloped belt you see in this post. Go here to bump up your everyday orange & white and take a peek at a great online space full of resources for East TN Moms. My favorite most recent KMB posts are the guide to area pumpkin patches & corn mazes as well as Katie's Fall Meal.
