Born with intent.  Active in every sense of the word.  A watcher of others. Kind & true.  This human possesses a heart of gold.  He keeps it safe and shielded only reaching in and handing it out in its fullest form to those he loves most.  Loyal.  Fiercely loyal to his people, he is so very much. A lover of music just like his Daddy. Intelligent and invested in knowledge just for its good ole fashioned sake.  Fidgety & yet so very secure in the sidling nature of his very beating heart.

Today's contributing author is my first born son.  He sits sweetly at 6 months before his 10th birthday.  And, to me, he's like an old friend. Worn into the markings of me.  I count on him. For helping me to regain center.  For truth.  For the reminders to keep trying.  Yes, he holds that much muster in his Mama's life.

Those with procured places in the camp of this human are considered by all means fortunate.  For all of his days and in all of his ways, he will work to honor your seat in his life.  His aim will be to protect you and keep you.  To know you more in quiet ways.  And to love you completely for the very heart of you.

So often, he stretches me.  And so often, he is my begin again.  I was chosen to be his Mama. For this, I shout from the rooftops with every ounce of joy that I am.  From my womb to a world so desperate for more of his kind, please welcome Eli Cobble to the blog today.

My name is Eli Cobble.  My story for you today is about a word that's hard to explain and, at the same time, easy to understand.  I chose this word like lightning flashing in the sky.  My pick was fast and simple.  I knew this would be a good word choice.   I hope that you will understand my word more after reading my story.

My story begins in my favorite verse, 1 John 4:14.  This verse says "And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world."  

 How does this verse change who I am?

This verse tells me that there is someone sent from God to save us all from sin.  Sin is the bad and the ugly and wrong of us.  We are not perfect.  We are human.  Humans can only be average because of sin.  We become above average when we believe in God and give ourselves over to Him.

When everyone is born, they have a gift just waiting for them to open.  It's like the gift under the Christmas tree of us.  This gift is free.  It's cost was the love God had for His people through His son, Jesus.

I chose to open my gift from God when I was 7 years old.  Being baptized was my way of showing everyone who held my heart forever.  The day I opened my gift I became above average. This does not mean that my life will be perfect or that I will never sin, but it does mean I can always talk to God about hard stuff and things that no one else knows.

What do I do with God?

I communicate with Him.  I think that God has a push button system with us when we pray .  All you have to do is talk kinda like pushing your button.  He hears everyone's prayers and hurts.  You have to wait to hear His answers back.  I get mad and sad sometimes, but I know that He has the best solution.  Even when I don't like the answer.  That's hard to deal with sometimes, but it's true.

Where do you find God?

God lives in your heart always.  You can always find Him there.

God lives in the hearts of people around you and the world.  You can see God in action by the kind and caring things He does through hands of humans.

You can also find God in church.  We attend church to support and show our love for Him. Supporting Him is giving praise and worship.  We sing and study for Him.

God is all around us in His Earthly paintings.  These masterpieces are made for you and I to adventure, see, inhale, hear and enjoy.

He gives us the 4 seasons to watch His beautiful work.

God is the inventor of the water cycle.  He's like the great recycler taking water from the sky and sending it back up to be used again.

He's even in the animals that roam and snuggle on this planet too.

When can I know Him more?

I can know God and how He operates better when I lean on Him.  Leaning on Him is called trust.  It's sometimes hard because we cannot visually see Him.  Yet it's easy when we look around to find Him in the hearts of ourselves, people and nature.  Knowing He is alive in these things helps me to trust more.  I hope you have enjoyed my story.

I am 9 1/2 years old.  I have a passion for history and the study of war.  I love to know more about tactics and strategy.  Reading is something I love to do.  My favorite book series are My Name is America, Dog Tags, Harry Potter & I Survived. I am a big fan of playing war games on my XBox 360 and iPad. My favorite foods are chili dogs, BBQ chips & carrots.  Music genres I enjoy are country, pop, disco and rap.  I love hanging out with my friends.
