{short}
SHORT. Let's talk about that word. Better yet, let's find it. It's almost the 6th week of school for our camp. Poured my heart out here about it. My writing is picking up. I'm a contributing author at the The Busy Mom and The Knoxville Moms Blog. I was also just accepted by the BlogHer Network .{see the disproportioned to my blog layout sidebar ad to your right?} That there means moolah for my words. Every time you visit my blog and/or click on those ads, I am paid change. Yes, change. As in coins. My goal with that BlogHer paycheck is to purchase 1 whole $5.00 Hot-N-Ready from Little Ceasars Pizza.
I had a doctor's appointment yesterday. Let's leave it at that. My children & husband ate cereal for dinner. The night before that, they ate oatmeal. And the night before that, they ate sausage & biscuits cooked by Kenny. Breakfast for dinner WEEKLY theme anyone? Tonight I will hug the neck of my mother-in-law who invited us to dinner. Friday night is game night for the Patriots. So we will eat whatever blessed fried/packaged mess we find at the concession stand. I do cook. Typically quite often. Promise. This recipe was a hit both in our home & for several blog readers. I received a hefty amount of emails and messages with hype & happy about this concoction. Thanks, y'all!
Where was I? Oh yeah. Holiday custom designs are filing in for k.Mac. Candles. Candles! Orders are a-plenty. My boys have shifted into the season of life deemed, "I am nothing unless I am in front of a video game screen either finding hidden men so that I can surprise blast them or suited up in pads with the voice of Kirk Herbstreit pelting out of out TV speakers as I tackle, push & score." The words Grovel & Beg are kinda like their secret nicknames when it comes to how I feel about how often they ask to work more towards their career of becoming professional GAMERS.
Skip the dinners, designs & die-to-game for a hot minute. Because I am all kinds of soul serious when I say I am finding great rhythm here in this home where I know absolutely none of you who read, yet I feed you my words & images oh about 4 times a week. BIG plans. I've got them. BIG super fun plans come October. Just you wait, READ and see.
Um, SHORT. Should we talk about that with regards to my attention span, the list of dinners I have provided for my family this week, how far I can see at a distance WITHOUT my glasses or in fashion? Well, it's Thursday. Let's pick the latter.
I love shorts. I have the legs of a baby giraffe. The neck too. But, that's an entirely different topic. I addressed it here. No worries. I'll address it again. Let's just say this. THERE IS POWER IN A NECK SCARF.
It's important to swim with the current in regards to fashion. It's also important to stay on topic as a writer. I'm baaaaaack. Yes, current. Flow with it. Great waist line? High waisted styles will be so svelte on you. Great upper body? Contoured necklines will be so pretty! Rockin' booty? Wear a hemline that stops a bit shorter than your waist to showcase your curves. You know the really catchy pop song by Meghan Trainor, "All About That Bass"? Well, I just so happened to learn last night from Kenny the meaning behind that ditty. I am a treble. NOT A BASS. Oh, that man cracked me up dissecting that song for me. He gets my goat on.the.regular.
Here's the scoop. Be about you. No, I don't mean in a flaunting psycho self-absorbed way. I mean in a confident way. Rock the skin you're in. Enjoy who you are. Because God does not make junk. And the more we can all work towards letting our insides fill up with Him, the more spectacular our outside will be for ourselves & others. Now, this treble is all about that kinda bass.
The above outfit made me happy. It was comfortable & vibrant. I wore my favorite kicks which makes my world every day that I choose them. Yes, I mixed prints. It's in. It's happening. And even if it wasn't, I would TOTES still be doing it. How do you feel about about pattern play? For me personally, the more opportunities I can shove all prints into one outfit, the bigger my smile. To all those who judge me and my treble hind-end, I have big plans to Shake It Off. Thanks, Taylor girl!
