Which Shoe Are You?

So, you know I'm all about finding my light this week, right? And, I'm finding it. Oh, yes ma'am, I am. In all the ways I can seek it, I am soaking it in. I am on the hunt for the glow. Can I get a "tru dat" from anyone out there? One place this Fashion Plates obsessed child of he eighties gets her shine on is in the world of shoes. I heart them. Feet candy I tell you. I took it upon myself to do some cyber shopping for some looks I kinda adore. As I was collecting feet cuteness for this post, the evil monster began to rage within. You know the purple tongued, 2 buck teethed, multi-warted imbecile candidly referred to as Hormone? Yeah, he's camped out & cuddled up. Awesome. And, let's just be honest here, ladies. Ain't no one out there give a flyin' flip about what's on your feet much less your body when he's around. Naturally shoe choices not to mention mindsets, change. So, instead of chucking this hunt for happy on my feet, I decided to roll with the monster within.

Let's talk shoes, damnit.

{So Together Sally}

These puppies are all kinds of adorable. I have been on the hunt for a great pair of brown ballet flats. I love that they're not chocolate but more of a rich warm brown. Baby bows = heart melt. And, I love the attention to detail with the teensy metal tips on the bow ends as well as the side stitching on the back heel. When would I wear these? When I am sane, that's when. They evoke "having-it-togetherness". Smooth & calm. The "I've already done all my Christmas shopping, and have it all wrapped in September" kinda together.

{Cluster-of-Cuteness}

This next pair is trump tight to me. LUUUH-ving the neon yellow with the pumpkin orange and charcoal gray. They're slide-on street shoes. Totally killer with a great skinny jean and graphic baby tee. Throw a fitted flannel or military-esque type shirt in the mix and you are all kinds of adorable-on-a-stick. When would I wear these? Saturday ball games, craft fairs, times when I feel like doing anything but matching. I like the freedom this color scheme provides in just letting it all go. Punky Brewster is my kinfolk.

{Swingin'}

Ho-llllllll-a. I am jonesin' for a pair of moccasins. I really want a bright red pair, but this gray pair really snagged my stare. I absolutely love their height. Perfect for cute sock peek-a-boos in the Fall. And, yes. The answer to your question is yes. I would wear these with shorts and cute socks coming out the top. And, I wouldn't even blink. Gray is such a great hue. It looks great with blacks and browns. Ahh, the hybrid neutral. When would I wear these? When I feel cute, that's when. And, believe me. The cute meter ebbs & flows round these parts.

Then, there's these bad daddies. These scream "I am about to pull out a can of whoop arse on you, fool." They mean business. Tall, tight, totally noticeable. When would I wear these? Never. But, man there are times when being dominant and definitive in my person feels good. These shoes represent that vibe to me.

{Smooth Shavin'}

Stop it. Right dang now. Don't even move. These girls are hawt. Animal print and black & white are all totally hittin' on the fashion scene right now. These would look great with a basic black dress, skinny jeans & a leather jacket, charcoal gray pencil skirt with blouse...the possibilities are endless. When would I wear them? When my legs are fresh shaved, that's when. These girls would come out to play about 2 times a month if they lived in my closet.

Alas, these pair. Do they even need explaining? I am certain we all have a pair of these in our closets. And, they tend to be the perfect fit at times. Eve and that apple. I sure hope it was a tasty one, sister.
